Southland gas prices at highest amount since November

The average price for gasoline in Los Angeles County has increased to its highest amount since Nov. 19, 2018.

The average price has risen 20 consecutive days, increasing 30.9 cents, including 1.6 cents Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. That's 14.3 cents more than one week ago, 31.4 cents higher than one month ago and 9.9 cents greater than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has also increased. It's 13.4 cents more than one week ago, 31.4 cents higher than one month ago and 9.4 cents more than one year ago.

A partial shutdown of the Phillips 66 Carson refinery, planned maintenance at the Torrance Refinery, and issues with a couple of Northern California refineries are being blamed for the hike in gas prices.
