Small grass fire snarls traffic on 405 freeway in Van Nuys
VAN NUYS, Calif. - Traffic on the 405 in Van Nuys is backed up for miles as firefighters mop up a small grass fire that was burning along the freeway.
The fire sparked around 3:40 p.m. near the Burbank exit.
It appears southbound traffic is down to one lane.
According to the fire department the size of the fire is about 100x100 and crews had it under control and put out quickly. No word yet on what sparked it.
