Skull found in Griffith Park identified as female
LOS ANGELES (CNS / FOX 11) - It was a woman, older than age 20, whose skull that was found by hikers on a trail in Griffith Park just over a week ago, the coroner's office said Sunday.
A forensic anthropologist examined the skull found on the Brush Canyon Trail near Bronson Canyon at about 3 p.m. on March 19, said coroner's Capt. John Kadus.
The anthropologist determined the woman was older than 20 when she died, and that the death was between one and 10 years ago, Kadus said.
The skull is known only as Jane Doe number 22, he said.
