Senior citizen tied-up, injured in early morning home invaasion robbery

Authorities Wednesday were looking for two outlaws wanted in the robbery of a senior citizen in his Rancho Palos Verdes home.

The home invasion occurred about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Van Karajan Drive, where the man, who authorities estimate to be about 90, lives alone, said Lt. Tony Del Pinto of the sheriff's Lomita Station.

The two male suspects broke into the victim's home on the lower level and ransacked it before finding the man in his bedroom and tying him up, Del Pinto said.

About 45 minutes after the suspects left, the man was able to free himself and went to a neighbor's home, where he called 911, he said.

The man suffered a small laceration near his eye but the injury did not warrant a hospital visit, the lieutenant said.

The victim told deputies the home was dark and he could not give a good description of the suspects, Del Pinto said.
