SUN/FOX11 - It's like that old song "Fly Me To The Moon" except, well, hotter.
NASA is letting people around the world submit their names to be put on a microchip aboard their mission to the sun.
The Parker Solar Probe mission is launching in summer 2018. The probe will travel through the Sun's atmosphere, going to a place where humans have yet to explore, battling intense heat and radiation.
While humankind is not yet up for that, your name can at least be a part of history.
NASA says the mission is intended to answer questions about the sun that scientists have pondered for decades.
Submissions are being accepted until April 27, 2018. Learn more and add your name to the mission here: http://go.nasa.gov/HotTick
