Secretary of the Army Eric Fanning discusses being openly gay in the military

Normally it isn't big news when a new Secretary of the Army is sworn in - but earlier this year it was. In May, Eric Fanning was sworn in and became the first openly gay head of any service in the U.S. military.

Confirmation is coming just 5-years after the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" which prohibited gay and lesbian service members from being open about their sexuality.

Secretary Fanning was here with us to talk about that - plus what he sees happening to the Army during the Trump transition.

Fanning also details a new initiative which was just announced which challenges hackers to try and hack Army computers.
