School bus struck by malfunctioning railroad crossing arm
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - A school bus occupied by students was damaged today by a railroad track crossing arm in the South Los Angeles area, but no one was hurt, authorities said.
Firefighters were sent to the 1700 block of East 55th Street about 7:40 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crossing arm went through the bus side windows and was removed by firefighters using rotary saws.
