Rowan Blanchard Details Teen Life In Emmy Nominated 'Girl Meets World'

Rowan Blanchard is the young star of 'Girl Meets World' which picks up several years after the 90's series 'Boy Meets World' left off.

Rowan plays a middle-school girl named Riley who spends a lot of time thinking about middle-school boys.

Born on October 14, 2001, in Los Angeles, Calif. Blanchard began acting at the age of five, when she was cast in an Advil commercial and asked to learn how to ride a bike in just two days. She hit her mark, and pedaled herself right into the scene, establishing a steady commercial career by the time she was six. With more than a dozen national network commercials to her credit, Blanchard was cast as a series regular on the Disney Junior short form series "Dance-A-Lot Robot" in 2010.

She went on to land several feature films including "The Back-Up Plan" with Jennifer Lopez as lead, and a starring role in "Spy Kids: All The Time In The World 4D." Moving into television, Blanchard was cast in the 2011 FOX pilot "Little in Common," opposite Rob Corddry and Gabrielle Union. In Fall 2015, Blanchard will star in her first Disney Channel Original Movie, "Invisible Sister."

In her spare time, Blanchard loves performing and singing Broadway show tunes and considers herself an expert in Broadway trivia. She enjoys listening to music and has a great passion for Classic Rock. She is also an avid reader, a straight-A student and dreams of one day attending an Ivy League school.

'Girl Meets World' airs Friday nights at 8:30pm on the Disney Channel.
