Returning Saddleridge Fire crews relax and rest to prepare for weekend firefight

Fire crews have been working around the clock to contain the Saddleridge Fire, and while there's still plenty of work to be done, the mood at the command center in Pacoima is more relaxed than the day before.

The more jovial spirit there is attributed to firefighters coming back from the front lines after a large successful firefight over the last 24 hours, getting some food and a little bit of rest. Los Angeles County Fire officials say that can do a lot for morale.

Returning crews will get a good night's rest and then back out to the front lines on Saturday.

FOX 11's Rick Lozano spent some time at the command center and got to see first-hand how they prepare for the fight ahead. Play the video above to watch the full story.
