Reports of shooting shuts down eastbound 10 Freeway in Pomona

The California Highway Patrol has shut down all eastbound 10 Freeway traffic lanes at Fairplex Drive in Pomona for a police investigation.

At about 7 p.m. Friday, a report of a shooting on the freeway was made to authorities. Investigators say the driver of a white Nissan Altima was traveling on the 10 Freeway eastbound with two other passengers when someone inside that car got shot. Authorities have not confirmed who.

The driver got off the freeway and drove to a nearby McDonald's restaurant where the victim was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition. It appears the other two people in the car were not injured.

Aerial footage from SkyFOX shows a white vehicle with its emergency lights on inside a McDonald's parking lot with what appears to be a bullet hole on the driver's side door.

CHP says the freeway will be shut down until approximately 11:30 p.m.

Authorities have not made any arrests in the case at this time and are working to determine who the gunman was.
