(FOX 11/CNS) - Campus police were called out to restore order Tuesday night after a disturbance among protesters outside the Cal State Long Beach Student Union during a conservative group's event inside a campus auditorium.
The protests took place as the conservative group Turning Point USA held an event called "Campus Clash" inside the Beach Auditorium. The event had been scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
No arrests were reported.
The event was hosted by Turning Point USA founder and executive director Charlie Kirk and also featured the group's communications director Candace Owens.
According to the Turning Point USA's website, the group's "mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government."
