Police seek man who tied up, sexually assaulted 2 women in Fairfax District

Police continue the search for a suspect who tied up and sexually assaulted two women in an apartment in the Fairfax district early this month.

Officers responded to a hot-prowl burglary call about 11:50 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of North Ogden Drive, between Melrose Avenue and Beverly Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The investigation revealed the suspect was armed with a handgun when he entered the apartment of one of the victims, tied both of the victims' hands and sexually assaulted them, fleeing when of the women began to scream, police said.

The suspect is white, 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 160-180 pounds with a short gray beard.

Additional possible victims or anyone else who has information about the suspect was urged to call the Special Assault Section of the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division at (213) 486-6910 to speak with Detectives Daniel Aguirre or John Macchiarella.
