Police searching for murder suspect after deadly shooting in Sylmar

(FOX 11/CNS) - One person was killed late Thursday afternoon in a shooting in Sylmar.

The victim was shot about 6:30 p.m. in the area of San Fernando Road and Nurmi Street and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect described as a Hispanic male who is 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 130-140 pounds and wearing a black cap, gray hoodie and black pants was being sought, police said
