Person killed in traffic crash in Beverly Hills

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (FOX 11) - A man was killed Friday when a vehicle hit a tree in Beverly Hills, police said.

The crash was reported at 5:40 a.m. on Coldwater Canyon Drive near Beverly Drive, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Coldwater Canyon Drive was closed in the area while an investigation was conducted and had been reopened by about 10 a.m., police said.

The name of the deceased driver has not been released.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
