Pedestrian hit by vehicle and killed on 10 Freeway near downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Thursday on the eastbound 10 Freeway west of downtown Los Angeles.

The crash was reported at 4:18 a.m. near Western Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Information was not immediately available on the identity or gender of the fatally injured person.

Three eastbound lanes were blocked while an investigation was conducted. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
