Peacocks Invading Rancho Palos Verdes

When we think of peacocks, we usually think of majestic, colorful birds. But for some residents of Rancho Palos Verdes, the birds conjure up different images like torn up roofs and bird droppings.

Residents called on RPV City Council to do something about the peafowl population that they say has overrun the city.

So beginning next month, traps will be set up to capture and relocate 150 of the birds.

The SPCA will help monitor the capture of the birds to assure that it's being done in a humane way.
