Off-duty LAPD officer rescues kitten stuck on center divider of 57 Freeway

(LAPD)

A Los Angeles Police Department sergeant rescued a scared little kitten who was found on the center divider of the 57 Freeway.

LAPD Headquarters posted an image of the kitten sitting on top of the center divider that showed dozens of cars driving down the freeway in both directions.

According to LAPD, Sergeant Clement Toscano was off-duty when he saw the kitten and decided to lend a helping hand.

"LAPD Sergeant Toscano, driving by off-duty, could’ve kept on going — but he didn’t," LAPD tweeted. "We think 'Lucky' might be a good name for this little one."

The LAPD says that the kitten will be put up for adoption.
