Nonprofit truck used to deliver meals to kids stolen in Monterey Park

A children’s charity group needs your help to find its stolen truck.

The pickup truck is used by the Latino Children's Fund to help deliver meals to children and families in East LA, but unfortunately it was stolen on May 31.

The truck was donated to the non-profit foundation by a couple in Pasadena, and was parked in front of the director of the organization's home in Monterey Park when it was stolen.

The truck is a silver 1997 GMC, and was used to deliver meals to more than 200 underserved children.

"It's been a bit challenging because we are challenged trying to help families during these times with a lot of our children's parents out of jobs and they're looking at us to help them," said Veronica Guevara with Latino Children's Fund.

The organization is hoping someone comes forward, and has also created a GoFundMe page.
