National Chicken Wing Day is Wednesday
Los Angeles- You might not know it, but there is a major holiday on Wednesday. Well, it's pretty big if you like chicken wings. It's National Chicken Wing Day on July 29th and many places are celebrating with special deals.
Here are some specials and special places we know about:
Roscoe's House of Chicken And Waffles
No special events but you can always stop in and pickup that #8 "Country Boy" special aka The Obama Special.
Pann's Diner
Voted some of the best fried chicken in LA, Pann's has a few different chicken wing platters for you wing lovers.
Honey's Kettle
If farm fresh, vegetarian fed chicken is your thing, head over to Honey's Kettle Fresh Fried Chicken. They were on LAist.com's list of the best fried chicken in Los Angeles. Based in Culver City, they pressure-cook all-natural hand-dipped chicken in peanut oil which the woner claims makes the finished product healthier than most fried chicken.
Hooters
The Atlanta-based company is offering all you can eat wings for $12.99 for boneless or $14.99 for traditional on Wednesday. The "delightfully tack yet unrefined" company even released a PSA on YouTube to help spread the word.
Wild Wings Cafe
This South Carolina-based company is hosting a Wing Eating Contest on Wednesday at various locations. Participants need to sign up prior to the event.
WingStreet
Pizza Hut's Wingstreet is offering #FlappyHour on 7/29 from 7 to 9 p.m. (yes, that's a numbers joke they are pulling with the 7-2-9). Folks can join them online during that time to post about how good wings. They will be offering boneless, breaded, and traditional wings for just 60 cents each all day.
