Missing woman's car found along Pacific Coast Highway with keys, phone inside

A missing Glendale woman's car was found Thursday along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu with the 20-year-old's keys, cell phone and other personal belongings inside.

Elaine Park had been reported missing on Monday after she failed to return home following a date on Saturday night with her boyfriend, according to Glendale police Sgt. Robert William.

Park had been considered to be voluntarily missing until deputies found her 2015 Honda Civic parked near Corral Canyon Road, William said.

Her status has now been changed to "critical missing,'' he said.

"At this point we are actively searching for her,'' William said, adding that Glendale police detectives responded to Malibu to investigate. "We are very concerned for her well being.''

Investigators questioned Park's boyfriend, who has been "completely cooperative,'' William said.

Park is Korean-American, 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 125 pounds, has brown eyes and long brown hair with blonde tips and often wears heavy makeup. She has a cow skull tattoo on her upper left arm and another tattoo on her lower left arm, William said.

Anyone with information regarding Park's whereabouts was urged to call Glendale police at (818) 48-4911.

Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling (800) 222-TIPS.
