A smoke advisory continued through Saturday morning in Ontario after a massive fire broke out Friday, according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

Firefighters battled a three-alarm massive fire at an Ontario recycling plant on Friday that sent a huge plume of black smoke into the air.

The fire broke out around 4:23 p.m. at a recycling facility near Holt Boulevard and N. Grove Avenue.

Firefighters say the fire was fueled by bales of cardboard and wooden pallets. Propane tanks on the property also exploded.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire and no serious injuries were reported.
