Man's death in Mission Hills area investigated as homicide, police say
MISSION HILLS, Calif. (CNS) - A man found lying on a street in Mission Hills on Tuesday died a short time later at a hospital, and police were investigating the death as an apparent homicide, authorities said.
The man, in his 40s, was discovered about 3 a.m. near Stranwood Avenue and San Fernando Mission Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the man, who apparently was homeless.
According to police, a homeless man went to a nearby fire station and reported finding the victim.
No arrests were reported, and no suspect information was released.
