Man wanted for molesting a child in a Long Beach restaurant bathroom

Long Beach police asked for the public's help today to identify a man accused of inappropriately touching a child in the men's restroom at a restaurant, and released video and a still photo of the suspect.

The victim, described as only being under 10 years old, was groped about 8 p.m. Sunday in the eatery near Pacific Coast Highway and Second Street, according to police. The name of the restaurant was not released.

Police released security images of the suspect, described as Hispanic or white, 20-30 years old, with a thin build, dark hair and a mustache. He was wearing a red hoodie, dark pants and a baseball cap.

Anyone recognizing the suspect was urged to call 911 or the Long Beach Police Department's Sex Crimes unit at (562) 570-7354, email the unit at LBPDSexCrimes@longbeach.gov, or call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
