Man shot to death in driveway of Santa Ana home

SANTA ANA, Calif. (FOX11) - A homicide investigation is underway in Santa Ana.

Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of South Austin Street at 3:45 a.m. Sunday after reports of shots fired.

Police say a resident called to report hearing three gunshots and seeing a man down in the driveway of a home.

Once on scene officers located the 53-year-old victim lying in the driveway. Police say he had a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

He was transported to Orange County Global Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Santa Ana Police are currently searching for the suspects; a motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
