COMPTON, Calif. (FOX 11) - A shooting in Compton late Saturday night left a man dead and Sheriff's investigators searching for answers.
It happened shortly after 10 p.m. in the 600 block of Butler Avenue. Deputies with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department were sent to the scene to investigate reports of a shooting and discovered a Hispanic man lying on the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body, Sheriff's officials said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
Detectives continue working on figuring out the circumstances of the homicide. No arrests have been made at this time.
