Man shot and killed outside of bank in Paramount

Authorities are investigating after a man was shot and killed Friday outside of a bank in Paramount in an apparent robbery.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies were called just before 11 a.m. to the 15900 block of Paramount Boulevard near a Bank of America branch to investigate a reported shooting death.

The victim, described as a male in his late 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives believe the victim was a regular bank customer and was confronted by at least two suspects in the parking lot outside of Bank of America.

Investigators were interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance video in the area for additional clues.

There is no suspect description at this time and no arrests have been made.
