Man shot and killed on sidewalk in Boyle Heights
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - Los Angeles police investigated a deadly midday shooting in Boyle Heights on Friday.
Police say a man in his 50s was shot and killed by a man who got out of a pickup truck and fired at the victim. The incident was reported at about 12:30 p.m. in the area of Pico Boulevard and Concord Street.
The victim was shot multiple times before the gunman got back in the pickup and left the scene heading east on Pico Boulevard, according to LAPD.
The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died. He was not immediately identified.
It's unknown if the shooting was gang-related. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call LAPD.
