LOS ANGELES, Calif (FOX 11 / CNS) - A man was killed and two others wounded in a shooting in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of South Los Angeles, police said today.
The shooting occurred in the 500 block of West 94th Street around 11:55p.m. Wednesday, said Los Angeles police Lt. C. Dohmen said. The victims were aged between 30 and 50, Dohmen said.
The second and third victims were hospitalized in unknown condition with gunshot wounds to the shoulder and a leg or arm, he said.
A woman who identified herself as the wife of one of the wounded men told news media outlets that her husband had driven another man home and had just gotten out of the car to open the front gate of their residence when two gunmen approached, and he was shot.
The woman said the man who was fatally shot was in the passenger seat of the vehicle.
