Relative charged with murder of 3 family members - including 8-year-old girl - in Baldwin Park

A man has been charged with murdering three of his family members - including an 8-year-old girl - in their Baldwin Park home the day after Christmas, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced Tuesday.

Kyle Chester De Los Reyes faces three counts of murder in connection with the stabbing deaths of Rona Nate, 44, Paul Manangan, 16, and Mia Narvaez, 8.

Authorities have not disclosed the relationship between De Los Reyes and the victims, but an investigation revealed De Los Reyes lived at the home.

Officers responded to a home in the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue on Dec. 26 just before 7 p.m. That's where they found the three victims, who each had suffered multiple stab wounds. All three died at the scene, according to police.

De Los Reyes tried to drive away from the scene but was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains behind bars without bail, jail records show.

In a statement announcing the charges, the district attorney said his office "will work tirelessly to ensure that justice is served in this devastating act of violence, which has shaken our community and left a family forever changed."

De Los Reyes will be arraigned Jan. 15.

The murder charges include the special circumstance allegation of multiple murders, along with allegations that he used a deadly weapon, according to the district attorney's office.
