Lowrider bike club donates new cart to attacked vendor

Some Good Samaritans came to the rescue of a Hollywood street vendor whose cart was destroyed in an act of violence caught on camera a few months ago.

The vendor 26-year-old Benjamin Ramirez shot the July 17th confrontation on his cell phone.

The argument was over sidewalk space that ended with a man overturning Ramirez's cart and spilling its contents onto a Hollywood street.

The cart was destroyed and Ramirez lost several hundred dollars in investment.

Among those who rallied to help Ramirez was the Los Ryderz bike club with the help of donated funds, materials and labor. They created a custom cart with LED lights and high-tech features.

It was delivered to Ramirez on Sunday.

Ramirez says he loves his new cart. The combination of colors and how easy it is to maneuver.

But more importantly he's happy that something good came out of an unpleasant experience.

His new cart has standard and USB outlets so he can always keep his phone, which captured the original video, charged.

The only one of its kind cart is estimated at $2,500 dollars.
