Los Angeles County, Ventura County school closures, reopenings
LOS ANGELES - Officials announced school closures in Los Angeles County and Ventura County for Wednesday.

The following L.A. County schools will be closed on Oct. 30 due to the Getty Fire:
• Brentwood Elementary
• Canyon Elementary
• Community Magnet
• Kenter Canyon Elementary
• Marquez Elementary
• Palisades Elementary
• Palisades Charter High School
• Revere Middle School
• Roscomare Elementary
• Topanga Elementary
• Warner Elementary
Transportation to and from these schools will be canceled, officials said.
The following L.A. County schools will reopen on Oct. 30 -- Outside activities will be limited depending on changing conditions:
• Brockton Elementary
• Emerson Middle School
• Fairburn Elementary
• Nora Sterry Elementary
• University High School
• Westwood Elementary
Maintenance crews worked on Tuesday to inspect and clean schools and replace air filters, as needed, officials said.
School officials in neighboring Ventura County announced school closures due to the expected high winds and potential for Southern California Edison Public Safety Power Shutoffs.
The following Ventura County schools will be closed on Oct. 30
• All Conejo Valley Unified schools
• All Simi Valley Unified schools
• ACE Charter High School
• Briggs School District
• Fillmore Unified School District
• Mupu School District
• Santa Clara Elementary School District
• Santa Paula Unified School District
All other Ventura County K-12 public schools are expected to be open, officials said. A continually updated list of school closures is available at www.vcoe.org.
