Local nonprofit Shero's Rise helps girls build self-esteem amid ongoing pandemic

It has always been a rite of passage for girls--  overcoming conflicting images while trying to develop healthy self-esteem and good character.

For some girls, it has become more difficult while isolated in a pandemic. Now, a group of mothers and daughters decided to do something about it! They bonded and built a tight sisterhood—called Shero's Rise.

Shero’s Rise is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing girls and young women from underserved communities with the essential skills, experiences, tools, and support needed to become empowered agents of change in their world.

The hope is that every girl can find her voice, own her power and learn how to use her "invisible cape" to soar high in each stage of her development.

Shero’s Rise aims to provide tools and resources for girls to dismantle negative messaging and systemically-limited resources they are surrounded by.

Sheroes Rise is a 100% volunteer non-profit.

Its first goal is to offer in-person programs and the number of applicants has skyrocketed, So, they’re looking for more corporate sponsors, donors, anyone willing to be a mentor like retired teachers, and donors.
