Student brawl shuts down a high school in Glendale

Students and parents at a Glendale high school on edge after a huge fight breaks out between several groups of students.

The times in which we live have a lot of people on edge, in particular parents when they send their students off to school.

I don't have to explain why. Fortunately, and I say fortunately specifically, there were no weapons used or serious injuries reported today, but a huge fight between students at Glendale's Hoover High at about 1pm shut down the campus, brought a massive police response and the flow of texts and videos to panicked parents started.

Their faces spoke volumes as they gathered in groups and waited outside for updates. Hugs all around as students were released one classroom at a time.

A couple of parents insisted to me this was about racial insults between different groups of students.

The superintendent told me point blank he had not heard of that and will investigate to find out what happened, but when pressed if there were racial issues here in the past, as parents told me, he said, 'We live in America, there's almost always going to be something.'
