Local firefighters on alert in burn areas

Firefighters are on alert as they watch the skies and burnt hillsides for any signs of mud or debris flows.

But, as they do it's important to realize such events can happen a couple of days - or even weeks - after a fire.

In this conversation LA City Fire Captain Erik Scott, Ventura County Fire Captain Brian McGrath, Cal Fire Deputy Director Michael Mohler and LA County Fire Captain Tony Imbrenda gives us the benefit of their experience.

There is also a more in depth conversation coming up Sunday at noon on our sister station My13 on our recent fires and the Global Warming report issued last week saying that we can expect our disasters to become even more disastrous.
