Local fire department carries tradition of bringing Santa to your door

LA VERNE, Calif. (FOX 11) - The La Verne Fire Department began a tradition in 1925 of brining Santa Claus to every child in their city and food to families in need on Christmas morning.

Now it has evolved into a citywide event where firefighters, family members and resident volunteers deliver bags of candy, fruits and nuts to each and every child of La Verne on Christmas morning.

This year is no different, and Gigi Graciette and a couple of firefighter Santas show us just how much effort and love is put into this local holiday tradition.
