Las Vegas victim Jordyn Rivera remembered at La Verne vigil

An emotional candlelight vigil was held in La Verne Saturday evening to honor and remember the life of 21-year-old Jordyn Rivera, who was one of 58 people killed by a gunman in Las Vegas last week.

Rivera had just turned 21 this past summer, and friends tell FOX 11 all she wanted for her birthday was a mother daughter trip to Las Vegas to attend the Route 91 country music festival.

She was at that festival with her mom when she was killed Sunday night.

Rivera was a fourth year student in the health management program at Cal State University San Bernardino.

Her friends and family say she will always be remembered for her smile, and her strong faith in God.

A Gofundme has been set up to assist the family with expenses.
