LA's Most Wanted: Shooting deaths of John Jackson and Kimmel Shackelford
(FOX 11) - On April 22, 2015, after an argument between 26-year-old John Earl Jackson and an unidentified woman, she left briefly. When she returned, she had an unidentified man with her who got into another argument with Jackson.
A short time later, the man shot Jackson, killing him in the 1200 block of West 87th Street, between Budlong and Normandie in Los Angeles.
When a friend of Jackson's tried to run away, he was also shot to death in the back. He was later identified as 38-year-old Kimmel Shackelford.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Detective Todd Anderson believes several people in the Westmont neighborhood saw the argument and the murders.
He's urging them to contact him at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500. People with information are encouraged to call anonymously if they'd like, and can also provide information to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
