LA's Most Wanted: Philanthropist, wife of judge found stabbed to death

Antonia Yager was a wealthy, 86-year-old widow of retired Judge Thomas C. Yager who was found stabbed to death in her Larchmont District home on the evening of Dec. 21, 2014.

Yager had a very active social life. She was not know to have any enemies.

However, detectives who searched her very large home on North Beechwood Drive found no evidence of forced entry, suggesting that she knew the person who murdered her. Detectives were also unable to find anything missing. None of her expensive jewelry was missing.

The only odd thing investigators found was that water was running from a home near home's back door. They believe the killer turned on the water to wash Yager's blood from his hands.

A $50,000 reward is pending for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of her killer.

To speak with an LAPD detective call West Bureau Homicide at (213) 382-9470. Anyone who wishes to be anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
