LA's Most Wanted: Killing of Emmanuel 'Mamo' Gatewood

If he had not been murdered by a stranger, Emmanuel Gatewood would be playing college football now, probably at Grambling State.

That dream ended when "Mamo" -- as he was affectionately known -- was killed by a stranger on Tuesday night, July 10, 2012.

Mamo had attended a party on 123rd Street near Normandie Avenue in the Athens District. He was waiting for friends to join him so they could go home when the killer walked up and starting shooting without saying a word.

Mamo was only 17-years-old.
