LAPD watches for legal marijuana business violations

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - City officials held a news conference to clarify some of the regulations surrounding the new legal marijuana industry and the LAPD emphasizes…they will be watching for violations.

Officials say that until the first licenses are issued in the city of LA, even medical marijuana shops that have been operating legally -- are now officially in violation of the law.

But the LAPD says that they will have to decide on a case by case basis whether to go after those violators.
