LAPD searching for 2 suspects after fatal shooting in South L.A.

The Los Angeles Police Department continued to search for two suspects after a deadly shooting in South Los Angeles Thursday afternoon. 

Officers responded to the area of 75th and Flower streets around 11:20 a.m. Thursday after reports of a person shot. 

The victim, only identified as a man in his 30s was standing outside of his car when he was shot, family members said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police searched the area for the two suspects involved. Officers evacuated a nearby house around noon and with guns drawn officers attempted to enter the home in search of the gunman. SWAT teams arrived and believed one of the suspects was barricaded inside the home. During their investigation, they say the suspect was not in the house. 

The victim was a father of two and was expecting a third child. His name was not disclosed. 

Police are searching for two men in their 20s in connection to the fatal shooting. Police did not provide a description of the suspects. 

No further information was immediately released.
