WATCH LIVE: LAPD in pursuit of burglary suspect in San Fernando Valley
LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Police Department is in pursuit of an alleged burglary suspect in the San Fernando Valley.
What we know:
Authorities said the pursuit started in the North Hollywood area around 10:15 a.m. Friday. The suspect, driving a black Honda sedan, led officers across the Valley, including in North Hills and Van Nuys.
Just before 11 a.m., the suspect attempted to get on the 405 Freeway going in the wrong direction in Granada Hills. The driver then made a U-turn and continued traveling southbound.
Pursuit suspect drives wrong way onto 405 Freeway
A burglary suspect on the run from police was seen driving the wrong way in Mission Hills before jumping onto the southbound 405 Freeway.
A short time later, the suspect made a bizarre move and managed to stop for gas.
The pursuit continued in Northridge, Granada Hills and North Hills.
Later on, the suspect entered the parking garage at Northridge Fashion Center before exiting back onto surface streets.
