Investigation underway after woman found dead in Santa Ana apartment

SANTA ANA, Calif. (FOX 11) - An anonymous call early Monday led police to a possible murder scene at a Santa Ana apartment, authorities said.

Police responded around 3 a.m. to the 200 block of South Birch Street and saw a woman through the window bleeding. Officers forced their way inside the apartment, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man was also home at the time and detained for questioning.

The woman was not immediately identified. It was unclear how she died.
