Husband arrested after woman falls to her death from Alhambra parking garage, police say

ALHAMBRA (FOX 11 / CNS) - A woman fell to her death from a multi-story parking garage in Alhambra Thursday morning and her husband was arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.

The woman, who was about 30, fell onto an alleyway sometime after 1 a.m. in the area of First and Main streets and died at the scene, Alhambra police said. Her name was withheld, pending notification of her relatives.

Russell Everett, 55, of Alhambra area was booked on suspicion of murder, and was held in lieu of $1 million bail, said Alhambra police Cmdr. Sean Heckers.

The man called authorities to report the woman's fall and said their 3-year-old daughter was in a car in the garage at the time, police said.

The child was unharmed.

Detectives planned to check for surveillance footage that may have captured the incident.
