Now, Susanna’s daughter is about to enter 4th grade and Zweig says she is pulling her out of her charter school and will create a custom curriculum for her.

Susanna says even though she has a background in education she is still a little nervous about homeschooling.

She says, “Jumping from mom to educator is a hard thing. Because even when I was homeschooling her my daughter said mom you’re not my teacher. So there is a struggle there and I think a lot of us parents are like..."

“How do we play both roles?” So, I think that is probably my biggest anxiety.” Said Zweig, a parent, and founder of MYLIFELAB.com.

She started the website to help parents navigate the world of homeschooling. Susanna says homeschooling is really about community. There are groups all across the country parents can join for group activities, there are community sports teams and even homeschool conferences.

Zweig says she’s also excited about the content her daughter will be learning. “I’m very excited about having a lot more control about what is being said and not said. I have a particular view about how I want my daughter to be educated and I feel really happy that I have the opportunity to have a lot more control over that now.”Is being said and not said. I have a particular view about how I want my daughter to be educated and I feel really happy that I have the opportunity to have a lot more control over that now.” Said Zweig.
