Holy Fire burn area under voluntary evacuation orders for flash flooding, debris flows

The Orange County Sheriff's Department issued voluntary evacuation orders for the Trabuco Canyon area due to potential flooding and debris flows as an abundance of caution.

The area was under a flash flood watch through late Wednesday.

"Locally heavy rainfall could produce flash flooding, with the greatest threat in steep terrain, especially in and below recently burned areas," the National Weather Service said.

Upon learning of an incoming storm, residents in the area prepared for what was ahead by collecting sandbags and doing other necessary measures. Emergency crews were also staged in the area as a precaution.
