Hit-and-run driver struck fire hydrant, caused geyser

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - Police are searching this morning for a driver who struck a fire hydrant in the Monterey Hills area of Los Angeles ... producing a geyser ... then fled.

It happened around 2:10am this morning near the intersection of Monterey Road and Paula Street.

A witness tells police the suspect vehicle is a two-door sports.

There appears to have been no injuries.
