Potentially damaging surf and coastal flooding hit the South Bay over the weekend.

New video out of Redondo Beach shows large waves crashing into the parking lot near a pier. The waves here were approximately 8 to 12 ft in height.

High surf is forecasted for the next several days, according to the National Weather Service.

Most dangerous surf conditions are expected Monday and Tuesday, the NWS said.

A high surf advisory is in effect in Orange County until 4 a.m. Wednesday

While temperatures will remain warm and sunny Monday, a weak weather system will bring light rainfall to many areas on Tuesday.

Significant cooling is expected Tuesday, followed by warmer temperatures through the rest of the week.
