High-Rise fire knocked down in Beverlywood

A fire broke out on the sixth floor of a multi-story office building just south of Beverly Hills tonight, but no one was injured, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 8:38 p.m. at 1180 S. Beverly Drive, just north of Pico Boulevard, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Video from the scene showed flames visible through the building's windows.

A total of 120 firefighters responded and knocked down the blaze in 29 minutes, Humphrey said.
