GARDENA, Calif. - Barco Uniforms has pledged to donate 10,000 scrubs a month to healthcare professionals working on the frontlines for the remainder of the coronavirus pandemic, the company announced.
“It’s an honor to be able to help in a small way,” Barco Uniforms CEO David Murphy told FOX 11.
Healthcare workers are risking their lives each day to treat patients infected by COVID-19. Health officials announced the death of a healthcare worker in Los Angeles County on Tuesday.
The donations from Barco Uniforms include all seven of the company’s brand collections, including Grey’s Anatomy and Sketchers.
“We are launching our srub donation program to show our sincere thanks and demonstrate our immense gratitude to healthcare professionals all over the country, all of whom have been heroic in the fight against the pandemic,” Murphy said in a statement.
In addition, the uniform company will donate 350,000 masks to hospitals.
